Disable a Laptop’s Touchpad in Ubuntu Karmic (and later as I well I guess)

  1. Applications -> Ubuntu Software Center
  2. Search for Touchpad
  3. System -> Preferences -> Touchpad
  4. Untick “Enable Touchpad”
